Who We Are

A gathering place for coaches to meet, learn, share and develop.

About ICF Atlantic

The ICF Atlantic chapter was established in 2011.  We have always had an active volunteer Board of Directors which guides the activities, educational offerings and promotion of the profession on behalf of the membership. The chapter began with a handful of New Brunswick coaches forming a provincial chapter in 2010, followed quickly by a decision to expand membership to coaches in all four Atlantic provinces.  This resulted in the name change to ICF Atlantic in 2011.

I have chosen the ICF Atlantic Chapter, not only because I wanted to be part of my local coaching community, but also because of their drive for learning and development as well as mutual support. As a lifelong learner, I have participated in many of their impressive offerings. I am grateful to be a member of this wonderful chapter!

Over the years, ICF Atlantic has introduced and developed a number of successful initiatives including; Bi-annual conferences, pro-bono coaching initiatives, information sessions and coaching demos during International Coaching Week, in-person and virtual educational workshop offerings and newsletters.

In 2016, we were successful in earning “Charter Chapter” status which we maintain annually by having a minimum of 50 ICF Global members who affiliate with our chapter and by offering a minimum of six CCEU/educational learning opportunities each year to our members.

Our Chapter is a gathering place for coaches to meet, learn, share and develop their coaching skills.  And we have become the “go to” source of information about professional coaching in Atlantic Canada.
